A National charity supporting children, POD, are said to be jubilant this week upon receiving news of a £5,000 donation to their cause by the Leeds based insurance health cash plan provider LHFHealthplan.
POD has been established for almost 30 years, and has brought magic and laughter to the lives of hundreds of terminally ill children. The charity puts on in-hospital shows that involve magicians, musicians, storytellers, clowns and puppeteers. The scale is growing, with 162 monthly shows now stages throughout 141 hospitals and hospices all over the country.
LHFHealthplan are a health insurance provider who aims to offer basic healthcare cover to individuals and families. Their policies start at just over £3.06 per week, and members can claim up to £95 per annum for check ups, fillings at dentists and numerous other treatments. These include optical treatment, physiotherapy and some complementary therapies.
