PruHealth sweep the health insurance awards

At the annual awards of the health insurance magazine, Health Insurance, PruHealth scooped two fantastic awards. The company, which is only two years old, were said to be delighted to be named the Individual PMI provider of the year 2006, and the Health Insurance Company of the Year.

The awards were voted for by magazine readers, many of whom are brokers who were obviously impressed by the impact of PruHealth on the health insurance market . The chief executive of PruHealth, Shaun Matison, said: "We’re extremely pleased that in two short years we have received such extensive broker recognition. A year ago at these awards we won Most Innovative New Product so it is very encouraging to see that people continue to value this innovation."

He continued: "The awards, combined with our strong growth, prove that our approach to private medical insurance is working. We are the only provider in the UK market to reward people for looking after their health – and this is something that is obviously valued by the consumer and broker market. Going forward, I would argue that we have the only sustainable solution to PMI inflation. We want to thank all the brokers who voted for us and look forward to continuing to work with them to grow the PMI market."
