Could AI ‘marketing bots’ become the insurance sales force of the future?
According to HMC Marketing, artificial intelligence is the future for online interactions. Their marketing robots would render call centres entirely obsolete, replaced by marketing avatars who could conduct real-time transactions, speak with their customers and sell financial services products such as insurance.
HMC Marketing are in the process of customising their avatar in Korea, Japan and China. When complete, this will be a world first. In theory, when entering a client site, an avatar that conforms to his or her likely preferences will meet each consumer. The face shown will match each market.
This avatar will talk to the customer about any subject, and in a verbal style that effectively mimics a person talking. At first, there will be no time limit on customer interaction with the avatar. All interactions will be recorded for audit.
In theory, the avatar is the perfect salesperson, awake 24-7, unable to mis or over-sell a product such as health insurance or critical illness insurance, able to win over customers and lead to more sales. Further marketing tactics will support avatar marketing such as discounts, special offers and an advocacy program.
