One of the largest health insurance firms in America, Aetna, are on their way to the UK. The international division of Aetna Global Benefits is expanding operations, and aiming to serve the European-based expatriate market with health insurance cover .
Martha Temple, the vice president and head of Aetna Global Benefits, reportedly commented: "We have built a global infrastructure of multicultural and multilingual products and services that can be accessed from anywhere around the world. By expanding our distribution, as well as further customizing our products and services for new markets, AGB is demonstrating its commitment to providing expatriate benefits to an even broader customer base."
A new managing director for Europe, Debra Williams, has been appointed to head up the London office. She went on record as saying: "AGB specializes in meeting the needs of expatriates, regardless of their home country. This is a natural extension of the current business and were prepared and excited to move into these new markets with innovative products and expanded services."
Aetna offer a number of health insurance products and services, including medical insurance, dental insurance, group insurance and management.
