Mon, 16 Jul 2007

According to recent reports, the dental insurance firm Denplan has clubbed together with a Volunteer Centre in Winchester to create the first ever Denplan Community Action Day. This event will see 70 members of the health insurance staff taking part in community projects around Winchester.

Employees of the firm will be split up into several groups, each of which will have a set task. The first will decorate the studio and boardroom at the Theatre Royal. The second will build a rifle range and archery area, paint a toilet block and clear a campsite. Other groups will give a community centre a makeover and clear a landscape area.

The news indicates one insurance firms good intentions when it comes to giving back to the community. Several health insurance and private medical insurance providers are involved in charitable and community-oriented projects.
