Thu, 14 Jun 2007

BUPA, one of the foremost private medical insurance and health insurance providers in the UK, are making bold moves to cut down their carbon footprint, by carrying out a global study of their environmental impact.

The ways in which large businesses contribute to global warming are numerous, and BUPA are looking at how they will reduce their own legacy. Although they will bear their commercial interests in mind, the health insurer plans to really reduce their impact.

There are a number of techniques for reducing carbon emissions, these include green electricity contracts, energy saving measure, and further initiatives. BUPA will be measuring their carbon impact, both in the UK and further afield. The firm is welcome to ideas from customers and employees.
