Michael Moore, the famous and controversial political commentator behind books such as ‘Stupid White Men’ and films such as ‘Fahrenheit 911’, is currently showing a new film at the 60th Cannes Film Festival. What does all this have to do with health insurance, you may be wondering?
Moore’s new film is a documentary that challenges people in America to wake up and fight for reform and exert their voice. The focus of the film, entitled ‘Sicko’, is the healthcare and health insurance situation in America. The new film is less about blame than previous outings, and more about looking after number one.
In an interview with the Los Angeles times, Moore reportedly commented: One way to fight the system is to take better care of yourself. Moore blamed American indifference for the ridiculous system of American health care, medical insurance, and access.
