According to news reports from America, the board of directors at America’s Health Insurance Plans announced a fresh initiative that will protect beneficiaries of the medicare advantage and part D programs. They will also make sure that all insurance brokers, agents and plan marketing staff hit standards and qualifications targets.
The move marks an overall cleanup and tightening of the health insurance industry. The President and CEO of AHIP, Karen Ignagni, reportedly commented: When considering choices regarding their personal health care, seniors and individuals with disabilities deserve to know that they can trust the information they receive. The principles coupled with tough enforcement are designed to allow beneficiaries to focus on their Medicare choices without worrying about the integrity of the information provided.
The health association set out a series of principles involving background checks, database documentation, test scores and further indicators of core training .
