Healthcare plan will create employment

Mon, 28 Apr 2008

A new plan to build a healthcare centre will create jobs, as well as providing a useful health service for private customers and those with private medical insurance policies .

The new project, planned for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, will employ 80 staff. These will include operating theatre professionals, receptionists, porters and cleaners. The independent clinic will be set up in the next 18 months.

The healthcare clinic, which will be available to paying customers or those with health insurance, will provide day surgery and cancer checks. The intention is to then build a hospital in 2009 that will offer a wider range of treatments.

The business, known as Vale Healthcare, is a partnership between doctors and the Nuffield Hospital organisation. The facilities will offer rapid access to treatment for individuals or those with health insurance .
