Moving from the UK to France can be an attractive proposition, particularly for those people that have retired and are looking for some peace and quiet. Better weather, attractive scenery, a change of pace and some wonderful food and wine are all drawcards. Many people from the UK also live in France to work. However, for some people becoming eligible for French healthcare is impossible, and several health insurance companies have created policies in response.
For those expats that cannot get access to the French National Health Service, the policies could be a lifesaver. Morgan Price International Healthcare has created a policy called ExpatHealth France, underwritten by Allianz Worldwide Care.
Other healthcare policies for France include one by the Exeter Friendly Society, whose Resident Health Plan includes two levels of cover . Each insurance policy has different levels of cover and will be more or less suitable depending on the individual.
