Travel without insurance irresponsible

Mon, 12 May 2008

Travelling without travel insurance or an international private medical insurance policy could be very irresponsible, particularly for those tourists going on an adventure holiday .

The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), pointed out that travelling without insurance could be a major financial disaster, with the savings made on not buying travel insurance paling into comparison with medical bill costs.

Sean Tipton, press office at ABTA, reportedly commented: "For anybody going abroad for their holiday or a business trip it is extremely foolish to travel uninsured . If you’re going on a holiday which involves greater risk, such as an adventure holiday, or going to do something that is potentially risky without insurance then it is incredibly irresponsible."
