Travelling without travel insurance or an international private medical insurance policy could be very irresponsible, particularly for those tourists going on an adventure holiday .
The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), pointed out that travelling without insurance could be a major financial disaster, with the savings made on not buying travel insurance paling into comparison with medical bill costs.
Sean Tipton, press office at ABTA, reportedly commented: For anybody going abroad for their holiday or a business trip it is extremely foolish to travel uninsured . If you’re going on a holiday which involves greater risk, such as an adventure holiday, or going to do something that is potentially risky without insurance then it is incredibly irresponsible.
