According to health insurance company HSF health plan, new research indicates that approximately half of all British people steer clear of important medical and healthcare checks due to fears relating to the cost .
According to reports, some 48 per cent of British people will not have health check ups, such as dental visits, due to perceived expense.
HSF spokesperson Stephen Duff reportedly commented: "The cost of living is going up and, unfortunately, this will soon be reflected in the nation’s overall health . As more of us put off visits to the dentist or optician there will be an increase in preventable diseases, like mouth cancer and glaucoma ."
He reported continued: "Detecting dental and optical conditions early not only saves you money but also increases the chances of successful treatment. That is why it is important to sign up to a health cash plan . It will ensure your health doesn’t suffer along with your wallet."
