According to recent research by insurance company Westfield Health, health insurance policies are one of the most important types of insurance policy to have during an economic downturn.
The research indicates that Brits will cling to their private medical insurance over their home insurance and income protection insurance . However, mortgages / rent payments were listed above medical insurance as a priority.
Some 91 per cent of those surveyed would not cut their outgoings on health insurance, leading Chief Exec of Westfield Jill Davies to comment: These findings do demonstrate very clearly that healthcare generally remains a real top priority for people, even when faced with difficult decisions in terms of managing their budgets.
