According to health insurance news today, terms and conditions of health insurance policies vary considerably. Research by Alan Lakey of Highclere Financial Services indicated that insurance policies sold by top UK insurance companies vary considerably.
Many insurance policyholders expect their insurance policy to pay out in the event of a healthcare problem. However, after assessing policies from Axa, Bupa, Aviva, Scottish Equitable, Prudential and others, he found considerable variety.
Lakey’s research shows how payouts differ between the insurance companies. He reportedly commented: I've asked insurers when they will come up with common definitions. In some cases they tell me that their IT systems are tied up years in advance. In other cases, all I've had is a shrug of the shoulders.
