Manufacturer of a variety of tools, Snap-On, has switched their private medical insurance providers. The company shook up their health insurance to improve efficiency, and used the savings to launch a new employee assistance programme for their 600 staff.
Previously, Snap-On got their medical insurance from Bupa . However, the company undertook a market review and found that a claims -related contract would save money . The saving was made due to a loss ratio, calculated by comparing the amount paid in premiums with claims record.
The company now use PruHealth Vitality. Staff can now choose discounted gym membership and increase their points by buying fresh produce and walking a number of steps each day.
