According to health insurance news today, PruProtect claim that their serious illness cover is more likely to pay out compared with traditional critical illness cover . The insurance company covers 154 different ailments.
Research from Hannover Life Re suggests that consumers are 24 per cent more likely to be covered if they have a PruProtect insurance policy . Customers will be offered financial protection against serious illnesses as well as advanced or life threatening illnesses .
Deepak Jobanputra reportedly commented: Severity based cover is more appropriate for modern protection needs as the likelihood of making a successful claim is significantly better. Meanwhile, Stuart Paton Evans of Hannover Life Re reportedly commented: An example is connective tissue diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, where a partial payment will be paid on diagnosis regardless of the severity level with the certainty of further financial protection if the disease progresses.
