According to health insurance news today, the health cash plan provider Health Shield has 147 new company paid schemes during 2009, which is the first year of their ambitious new five-year growth plan.
According to the medical insurance feature, the number of claims paid out increased to over 320,000 as membership of Health Shield increased. From those claims, 89.6 per cent were processed within two working days. Furthermore, the organisation paid out nearly 80 per cent of contributions back to members as medical insurance benefits .
Health Shield is one of many UK providers of health cash plans, a step down from a comprehensive private medical insurance but valuable cover to maintain good health.
